See Habitat Ledger in one minute
Log your work from the field, snap receipts, and print your annual report and year-end tax summary. Built for Texas ag and wildlife tax valuation.
What the video shows
The video walks through a wildlife property. Ag land works the same way, with ag records in place of the wildlife practices (see below).
- Where you stand this year: how many of your wildlife practices are on track, at a glance.
- Logging a practice in seconds: pick the practice, add the date, a short note and a photo, right from the pasture.
- Scanning a receipt: take a picture at the feed store counter and Habitat Ledger fills in the store, total, date and category.
- Your annual report, already filled in: the PWD-888 report your appraisal district asks for, built from your logs.
- A clean file for your accountant: the year-end tax summary, with an Export for QuickBooks button.
- No signal? Keep logging: it saves on your phone and syncs when you're back in range.
On ag land instead?
Pick Agriculture when you add your property, or use the Ag and Wildlife buttons on the home screen if you have both. Ag mode keeps:
- Head counts: cattle, horses, goats and more, with the animal-unit total figured for you.
- Hay, crops and bees: cuttings, bales, fertilizer, plantings and hive counts.
- Leases: who runs livestock on your land, written or oral, with the lease on file.
- Your county's standards: your acres and head count checked against what your appraisal district expects.
- A proof packet: head counts, leases, receipts, dated photos and your 5-of-7-year history, ready if the district asks.
