Privacy Policy

Last updated November 1, 2026

Habitat Ledger is a record-keeping app for Texas landowners with a wildlife management tax valuation. It is operated by Adam McLaughlin LLC, 146 Addison Drive, Highland Village, TX 75077 ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

How we use it

We use your information to run your account, keep your records, fill in your annual report and year-end summary, process your subscription, answer your questions, and send you important notices about your account. We do not sell your information, and we do not show ads.

Who we share it with

Your records are shared only with people you choose, such as a wildlife consultant or tax preparer you give access to. We also use a few service providers to run Habitat Ledger, and they handle data only on our behalf:

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Offline use

When you have no signal, your entries are saved on your phone and uploaded once you are back in range.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your records while your account is open so they are there when your appraisal district asks. You can ask us for a copy of your records or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing adam@habitatledger.com. Billing records may be kept as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections and access to your records requires your login. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Children

Habitat Ledger is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we will update the date above and let account holders know by email.
