Terms of Service
Last updated November 1, 2026
These terms cover your use of Habitat Ledger, a service of Adam McLaughlin LLC, 146 Addison Drive, Highland Village, TX 75077 ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
What Habitat Ledger does
Habitat Ledger helps you keep records of the wildlife management practices on your property, organize receipts, fill in the Texas wildlife management annual report (PWD-888) and prepare a year-end expense summary.
Not tax, legal or wildlife advice
Habitat Ledger organizes your records. It does not give tax, legal or wildlife management advice, and it does not file anything for you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for following your wildlife management plan, and for reviewing, signing and turning in your own reports. Your appraisal district decides whether your property qualifies for a wildlife valuation, and your tax professional decides what is deductible.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and give accurate account information. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. If you give a consultant or tax preparer access to your records, you are responsible for that choice.
Free trial, billing and cancellation
- Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
- After the trial, your plan renews automatically each month or year at the price shown when you signed up, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If we change prices, we will tell you by email before the change applies to your plan.
Your records
You own the records, photos and receipts you add. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you. You can ask for a copy of your records or ask us to delete your account at any time; see our Privacy Policy.
Fair use
Please don't misuse the service: no uploading unlawful content, no trying to access other people's accounts, and no interfering with how the app runs. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability
We work to keep Habitat Ledger running and your records safe, but the service is provided "as is," and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep copies of anything critical, such as the reports you turn in.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost tax valuation, back taxes or penalties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If we make important changes, we will update the date above and let account holders know by email. Continuing to use Habitat Ledger after that means you accept the updated terms.
Texas law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
